Urgent Update
Teams responsible for your safety at New World Festival in Chelmsford are working to ensure attendees leave the event safely.
The festival got underway on Saturday (24 August) and continues today (Sunday 25 August), at Kings Farm, next to Hylands Park, off Margaretting Road, Writtle.
Essex Police are working shoulder-to-shoulder with Essex County Council’s Highways department and the organisers to further ensure the wider road network and community are unaffected by the increased demand.
Speed restrictions, one-way systems and patrols carried out by our Roads Policing Unit are all in place.
We’re continuing to encourage people to use the designated on-site pick up areas and to keep the roads running.
If you’re at the event or if you’re picking people up from it, please use the allocated pick-up areas.
Don’t arrange to meet up on dark, high-speed roads, putting yourself and others in danger.
Please make sure follow only these routes when leaving the festival today to ensure you remain safe at all times.
